Mass Storage capacity up to 12 x 3.5” HDDs
RS720-E6/RS12 has twelve 3.5” hot-swap HDD bays to support SATA or SAS HDDs, meeting the demand of mass storage. The hot-swap design is reliable for 7x24 non-stop services. With ASUS optional PIKE upgrade kit, the server is able to provide flexible RAID choices.

Extreme memory capacity up to 144 GB (RDIMM)
RS720-E6/RS12 is equipped with 18 DDR3 memory DIMMS to support up to 144GB(RDIMM) high memory scalability for computing intensive application. This board will offer you highest memory capacity without source for proprietary chassis & riser solution.

For optimized energy efficiency, the RS720-E6/RS12 is built with 80+ PFC high power efficiency power supply and EPU (Energy Processing Unit) engine to lower both power loss and power consumption for effective power use and bill saving. The EPU (Energy Processing Unit) engine provides optimal and effective CPU power management.

Optimized for Virtualization, VMDq Supported
On-board LAN supports Intel VMDq Technology which offloads CPU utilization and decreases latency to improve throughput for virtual machines. It benefits users by enhancing performance in virtualization environments. The onboard vertical USB connector for VMware ESXi supports virtualization application in RS720-E6/RS12.
