EVGA Brings SLI Support To More Games and Faster
If you are familiar with SLI (NVidia's multi-GPU technology), then you are all too familiar with the problems associated with it. For SLI to work correctly with any game, a profile must be created that shows the driver how to correctly handle the game graphics between multiple GPUs. As much as NVidia likes to push new drivers every few weeks, many gamers feel the anguish of not being able to play the newest games or demos correctly.
EVGA has stepped up and is now releasing their own SLI profiled drivers to help compensate. Known as the EVGA SLI Enhancement Patch, it is just basically the most recent NVidia driver with extra SLI profiles. EVGA stated that new games and demos will typically have profiles for them created within a day. So if you own EVGA cards and you are having problems with a new game, just check later that day for an updated driver.
There is currently no information if this patch will work with non-EVGA cards (I bet someone will sooner or later try it) or if EVGA's profiles are as good as NVidia's. Basically, EVGA only modifies NVidia's latest driver, so if you are using an older driver for whatever reason, these patches do not apply.
Just another reason why EVGA is one the best NVidia resellers out there.
