Incompatibility Between Small Form Factor Cases and Long Video Cards


 


It has come to our attention that some of our small form factor gaming systems have incompatible choices when paired with certain cases and certain long video cards.  By long video card, we mean video cards at the maximum length of 10.5", while shorter video cards at 9.5" and below are fully compatible.


 


Some video cards which meet this incompatible standard are listed below:




  • NVidia GeForce GTX 295



  • NVidia GeForce GTX 285



  • NVidia GeForce GTX 275



  • NVidia GeForce GTX 260



  • ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2


Some cases which are incompatible with the above long video cards are listed below:



 


However, this does not mean that the video cards cannot be used with the above cases.  Usually a drive bay is too low or in the way of these video cards.  Usually, we can modify the case to accept these long video cards, but this will void the warranty on the case and no returns or order cancelations are allowed on the order.
