I have an AVA gaming cube system which is about 7 months old.  It has 64-bit Vista.  Once I installed SP1 my boot times have noticeably increased, but it seems to shut down faster.  Any ideas why it would take longer to boot?

Hello Carsonmd,
My suggestion would be to install the latest drivers for your motherboard chipset and video card.  If you send me a PM with your order number I can send you some links to these drivers or please contact me at the number below.  Also, does it boot slow everytime?

Thank you Smile

Hello Again Carsonmd,

First try deleting all the files located in the \Windows\Prefetch directory.  After SP1 installed Vista will need to re-build this information so a couple of reboots might be needed to see any improvement in boot times.

For your configuration here are the latest display and chipset drivers for your system.

Display (8800 GTX for Vista x64)

Chipset (Intel G33 Chipset , Gigabyte GA-G33-DS2R)

I hope that helps and have a great day!

I will give it a try. The video drivers you linked in beta. Will they install on vista 64 since they are not whql approved?

Carsonmd,

These drivers will install and UAC might pop up and ask permission to do so.

Thank You

I did all of the above last night w/o issues.  I will let you know if it helps.  Thanks again for the advice.
