I normally build my own gaming rigs. This time around I didn't have the time or the want to build one myself. I did a bit of shopping around, and after seeing what others were charging for custom gaming PCs, I was almost reduced to building myself.

Then I heard about AVA from a friend and thought I would check it out. I was impressed. All the parts I was looking at purchasing were right here and the price was actually reasonable!

I came in with a 2k budget and was pretty close to meeting it when it was all said and done.

My plan is to add another GTX580 next year and if money permits I'll probably add a SSD drive and put my OS on it. The hard drive is not the best, but from reviews I have read it is at least stable. So I have to wait for things to load. Oh well! :)

I think this is probably one of the best bang for my buck systems I could have possibly built at my budget.

    Hello DeadLights,

I really enjoy the configuration you have put together; I agree with you about the "bang for your buck" factor. Though you plan to add another GTX 580 in the future, keep in mind that after a set period of time specific graphics card models become replaced by revisions. In order for SLI to work properly all graphics cards have to match exactly down to the part number. This may make it difficult for you to add another of the exact same graphics card in the future. It's basically a gamble, so I just want to make sure you're aware.

I see not issues with your build, as it certainly looks like you have experience in building systems.

If you have any ququestionseel free to reply on the forum. I apologize for the late reply; I did not receive an auto-nonotificationike I should have. You can also contact me by email as well: jmundy@avadirect.

    Thanks Joseph.

I have been building gaming PCs for about 15 years now. This is the first time I have ever let someone do it for me. You should feel honored! ;)

I'm hoping to add the 580 when the new line of cards come out next year; hoping for decent price drop. It's a gamble, but I believe this particular card will still be around. It's one of the most if not the most solid 580 on the market, imo.

If not, it's a respectable single card configuration, and nothing is stopping me from doing an SLI configuration--with different cards--later on down the road when I actually need to upgrade. :)

    Hello DeadLights,

We are most certainly very honored by your willingness and trust to handle your newborn with care. ;-)

There are many GTX 580 cards out now, and you should expect a price drop with Keplar right around the corner. Take a look at the MSI GTX 580's; I like those specifically due to the fact they use two fans to cool the GPU, as opposed to one, and they factory overclock it for you...add performance +1.

SLI is great; I recently upgraded to the GTX 560 TI 2win card from EVGA; SLI, better performance than a single GTX 580, and around the same price. You could always upgrade with two keplar cards in the future too!

You have a pretty nice system put together. I had a friend who was able to build complete systems like you.

    Hello jorgea,

We work hard to provide the hand-crafted configuration that we do. Besides our premium wire-management, we also offer lifetime technical support. An individual could provide such services, but I can only imagine they would be limited by themselves.
