Is Z77 the replacement for 1155 or replacement for x79? Any new chipsets or motherboards coming out in Nov?

The Z77 appear to be a replacement for 1155 and relevant to the Ivy Bridge processors.

So what I gather if you want Ivy Bridge CPU on a X79 chipset you need an Extreme Ivy Bridge CPU.

That is correct, you would need to go with one of the Sandy Bridge-E processors, socket 2011.

We have not heard anything, then again companies have a tendency to push things back for "additional time to polish" which isn't a bad thing...the last thing we need is a product released early with tons of flaws.  Ermm
