Custom Workstations - Skulltrail / Dual QX9775 / Lian Li V2100B Some customers have a vision into what the most beautiful should look like. They select the options on our website and we start to build it. We then realize just how awesome a computer some of these systems really are. This system was chosen and configured by an actual customer and we are displaying it here for your viewing pleasure. You can click any picture for a bigger view
These Skulltrail systems are just awesome to see. The who package of the case, CPUs, cooling, and everything else is a perfect workstation IMHO. In fact this case is almost perfect for this system. It is large enough to fit the EATX motherboard and the very large Ninja heatsink cooler. Also there is a fan cooling the passive video adapter, enough room for eight hard drives, and a separated chamber for the power supply. Also, the way the CPUs are laid out on the motherboard, the best airflow I have ever seen achieved is made possible inside a case. Air is sucked in through the front of the case, then passed into the first CPU cooler and then the next. All this heated air is then pushed right outside the case with the back fan. Also the video card has its own special purpose fan to keep it cool as well. This system runs so cool, yet runs very quiet as well. The case's side panels with built in acoustic foam helps in the noise department as well.
Lets run down the specs here. With two QX9775 processors running at 3.2 GHz each, this system is up to 2.6x more powerful than the same system running the very popular Q6600 and up to 2.4x more powerful than the also popular Q9450. As you can see below in the system performance benchmarks, this system is at the top of the field. If you compare these scores with other scores in our showroom, you will find that nothing else that we have premiered can touch this. While the fully buffered ram takes a hit in performance, the 8 GB of memory more than makes up for the slower speeds. The hard drives are setup for maximum performance with the fast Raptor HDD as the main OS and program drive and the two other drives in a Raid 0 data drive. A very powerful 1000 watt Ultra PSU powers the whole thing.
What makes this system even better is that it is part of an order of three. Three of these systems combined could actually be considered a supercomputer.
Here are the complete specs for all of you look over.
System and memory benchmarks performed with Everest Ultimate Edition Video card performance benchmarks performed with 3DMark 2006 Professional
