Hello Guys,
Can someone help me solve this?
which is the best option? and why, i didn't consider other brands
because intel products are more reliable on life time.

Intel® Solid-State Drive 910 Series >
Intel® Solid-State Drive 710 Series >
Intel® Solid-State Drive 520 Series >
Intel® Solid-State Drive 510 Series >

Thanks for the help.

Hello lavifael,

I think that 700 series isn't a great choice because it's limited to SATA II architecture and runs at slower speeds than SATA III. 900 series uses a different port all together (PCIx) and is in a category of its own.

This leaves the 520 and the 510. 520 gets a slight edge over the 510 in read speeds (approximately additional 100MB/s) while the write speed is almost doubled. For a marginal increase in price, 520 is not only the latest technology available but also overall much faster than the 510 series, therefore that would be my choice of drive.

However, if you're on a tight budget then 510 will do just as fine since it's still significantly faster than some other SSDs currently on the market.

Also if you're looking for reliability, Crucial M4 drives have also proven themselves to be very reliable drives. Should you ever decide to look into alternatives other than Intel, that would be the first place to look.

Hello lavilfael,

I agree with vikonic, the Intel 7 series SSDs will not be the best choice if you decide to use them independently. Intel created the 700 series SSDs for the sole purpose of offering an enterprise SSD solution that can officially be used in an enterprise RAID array. (RAID 1, 5, 6, 10) Where other SSD drives would cause many complex reliability issues. Intel 700 series SSDs will not faultier. This does come with a price, specifically related to performance, so if enterprise RAID is an interest then you will most certainly want to consider them. RAID 0 is the only array that is not officially and enterprise solution, and does not specifically require the Intel 700 series SSD. However, the only SSD with official RAID 0 support is the Crucial M4 series SSDs; another great reason to consider them over Intel, should you have the interest for RAID 0, or simply want to seek a cheaper, just-as-reliable solution.
