I'm looking to replace my desktop.  I need a machine for:
  • Web Development (SQL Server Database and JRun App Server, dev tools, etc..)
  • Photoshop CS3 / Photo Editing
  • Media Stuff (Ripping/Watching DVD's, Ripping/Playing MP3's)
  • Some Gaming (Haven't had time to play in a while, but at least want the option!)
Need portability to be able to develop in multiple locations/sites.

Here's what I put together:
  • MICROSTAR, MS-171948-027 (GX700) WUXGA Core™ 2 Duo Notebook Barebone, Socket P, Intel® PM965, 17" TFT WUXGA TFT, SATA, BT, DVD±RW SM, NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 8600M GT 512MB Graphics
  • INTEL, Core™ 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz Processor, 800MHz FSB, 6MB L2 cache, 35.0W, 45nm, Retail
  • CORSAIR, 4GB (2 x 2GB) PC2-5300 DDR2 667MHz SDRAM SODIMM, CL5, Non-ECC
  • HITACHI, 200GB Travelstar 7K200, 7200-RPM, 16MB cache, 2.5-Inch, SATA 3.0 Gbit/s, OEM
  • MICROSTAR, 8x Super-Multi DVD±RW Optical Drive (Included)
  • ACCESSORY, Built-in 4-in-1 MMC/SD/MS/MS Pro Media Card Reader (Included)
  • INTEL, Wireless-N WiFi Link 4965AGN, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/Draft N, 11/54/300 Mbps, Internal PCIe Mini Card
  • MICROSOFT, Windows XP Professional Edition w/ SP3, OEM
  • WARRANTY, Assembled and Tested (1 Year Limited Parts, Lifetime Labor Warranty)

  • Too much?  Too little?  Just right?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I believe that you have maxed out the options on the notebook.  Also all the options look great and is exactly what I would have chosen.
