CNet Review Core 2 DDR3 SLI Gaming System - 7/2/08

 
 
Our 4th CNet review based upon our DDR3 SLI system with a single 9800 GTX.  Our processor crushed the other reviewed systems in the application testing.  While our single GTX did not perform the best in the gaming department, the other reviewed systems outclassed us by including multiple video cards.
 
"What's impressive about the AVADirect system is that it outperformed the Gateway on every one of our application tests. Considering that the Gateway system has a faster Core 2 Extreme CPU, the AVADirect's speedier performance is a testament to the benefits of 64-bit Windows and its ability to use all 4GB of installed RAM. The AVADirect's faster hard drive and speedier RAM likely contribute as well, helping this $3,220 system even outperform a $6,747 Dell XPS 730 H2C on a few tests. Those looking for a powerful desktop for digital media editing will find exactly what they need in this system." -Rich Brown

I noticed this http://www.avadirect.com/Desktop_Systems/Pre-Built_Gaming_Systems while searching "SLI". But the prebuilt gaming systems aren't on the Desktop systems page, which makes it sound difficult for people to find. Embarrassed

Very impressive!   Makes me feel that I will be in good hands when I order my system.  Especially since I have been able to refine my config from the advice of the AVA staff.
