Custom Barebone System - NZXT Tempest / E8400 / GTX 280 Some customers have a vision into what the most beautiful should look like. They select the options on our website and we start to build it. We then realize just how awesome a computer some of these systems really are. This system was chosen and configured by an actual customer and we are displaying it here for your viewing pleasure. Looking at the case, you may be tempted to call it an Antec because of its resemblance to the Antec 900. But in fact this case was designed by NZXT, who is coming out with some very good cases these past few months. Inside you will find a total of 5 case fans. Two in the front, two on top, and one in the rear. We also added the side fan to give it a complete look. That is a total of 6 case fans and they all operate very silently. Just like the 900, they are illuminated by blue LEDs, but this case has a much more subtle glow then the 900.
This system was designed by a customer using our barebone configurator. While this may be a complete system, the customer has full control over exactly what components go into his system. If the customer feels that he does not want a power supply or optical drive, he can opt to not have one in his system. Also, older chipsets and processors are also available in the barebone selectors compared to our gaming system configurators. We try to keep current and new tech in those configs while the barebone configs have all the past technology allowing for a truly custom config.
Inside we will find some good hardware like the E8400 Intel processor running at 3.0 GHz, a MSI GTX 280, and a Corsair 550W power supply. A Xigmatek CPU cooler keeps the high frequency processor nice and cool. A Creative Sound Blaster sound card keeps this system sounding great during all types of applications from music to gaming. The Intel P35 chipset based Gigabyte motherboard has proven itself to be one of the best chipsets for use in general usage and gaming systems.
Here are the complete specs for all of you look over.
System and memory benchmarks performed with Everest Ultimate Edition Video card performance benchmarks performed with 3DMark 2006 Professional
