Standard EEB with 16 DIMMs & Industrial Standard Riser Card Slot (Slot 6) KGPE-D16 is designed in EEB (12” x 13”) form factor, with 16 DDR3 1333 memory DIMMs to support up to 256GB (RDIMM). By supporting industrial standard PCI-E x16 (Gen2 x16 link) Full Height & Full Length Card in 1U, this board offers you highest memory capacity without source for proprietary chassis & riser solution.
Dual Use for Server (rack ready) & Workstation The ASUS Flex-E technology provides the flexibility to auto-switch between 2 true PCI-E x16 Link (support 2 double deck graphic cards) or 1 PCI-E x16 Link & 2 PCI-E x8 Link (for I/O expansion). Moreover, the boards supports ASUS MIO audio card, which offers enhanced signal-to-noise ratio in a 7.1 surround channel setup to deliver exhilarating surround sound for professional usage.

KGPE-D16 supports ASUS PIKE (Proprietary I/O Kit Expansion) 2008/IMR for RIAD 0, 1, 10, and 5; and PIKE 2008 for RAID 0, 1, 10 and 1E. The design of ASUS PIKE brings 2 key advantages:
- Provide flexible SAS storage add-on card selection.
- Board edge design: locate PIKE expansion at the edge of the board for full height card support when PIKE is installed.
Optional ASMB4-iKVM for Remote Management The optional ASMB4-iKVM provides remote real-time full control access to the system based on BIOS-level by keyboard, video monitor and mouse (KVM over Ethernet) from any local computer anywhere, anytime.
