Not a problem, we're all here to ask questions! :)
We do not sell individual barebone parts such as video cards, parts of the chassis, keyboards, etc. These kind of items are ordered directly from Clevo during your system configuration.
If you do not order a dual card configuration now, there is no guarantee that these parts will be available 2-3 years down the road. We also cannot obtain items separately. If the cards are available afterwards, they must be purchased with the heatsink and fan. We cannot buy those parts separate from one another due to Clevos policy.
Bottom line is, these barebones come to us pre-installed with video cards that the customer chooses. We then proceed with other upgrades such as CPU, RAM, wireless card, HDDs, etc. My best recommendation would be to order SLI configuration if you need it or if you feel like you may need it in the future. Obtaining these parts individually later on will depend solely if CLevo has them in stock or not, which cannot be guaranteed.
As for the pricing, feel free to contact the Sales department any time as we do not have this kind of information available in Tech support.
Lastly, the Optimus technology that used to switch between HD Graphics and Dedicated graphics is not present on this model. This notebook relies strictly on the graphics provided by the dedicated card(s). You will likely see this to be the case with other future gaming notebooks. It seems like the technology caused more problems than it came in to fix. While the battery life was improved slightly, many issues have been reported such as problems with switching, frame rates, issues with games, etc. The project will most likely go back to the drawing board for improvements, and in the meantime we'll likely go back to dedicated cards only.
