Clevo Warranty

Hi everyone,



I bought a W110ER in July 2012 and really enjoyed it until it died in May. It looks like diagnostic and replacement of the motherboard will cost me about half the price of the laptop. Before I spend that kind of money, does anyone know if it's possible to buy an extended warranty directly from Clevo? I was told that the warranty that Clevo gives to AVA on replacement parts is only 90 days and I am really hesitant to spend money and have this problem again in less than 2 years. Any advice is appreciated.

    Hey azguy, hopefully some of our other W110ER customers can also chime in on their experience.
     
    As far as the actual replacement goes, Clevo does not indeed offer extended warranty and we only receive 90 day parts warranty from them on replacements. This warranty is good enough to make sure you don't simply receive another product that fails prematurely, however once the 90 day period is out, that is generally considered a good board. Of course, electronics can fail at any time. 3 year warranty is provided upon purchase, and unless you've selected it, the system only comes with standard 1 year warranty. Should you decide to go with the replacement purchase, feel free to contact us and we can setup that RMA for you.
