I like this system, I really do.  Its in a nice beautiful case that is amazing quiet and yet has so much power behind it as well.  With an overclocked Core i7 CPU, Tri-SLI, and tons of memory to power this system, this is the most powerful system we have yet to put together.

With the pictures above and the performance and parts data below, I do not think there is anymore to say.  Take a look and let me know what you think of this system.

I do not have that information at the moment.  However, the CPU cooler looks to be the ThermalRight Ultra 1366 RT and a standard OC on this system is around 3.86 GHz.

SSD's are so hideously overpriced I'm glad everytime i see someone opt out. Intel's are awesome but constantly dropping in price.

anyways hows 12gb of ram compared to 6?

Most programs do not even take advantage of memory greater than 6 GB.  With 12 GB, your gonna have to run some hefty programs like 3D CAD and other prgrams which make use of huge datasets and files.  Most games do not use more than 4GB at the moment, most still use less than 2 GB.

You guys should check out the ASUS P6T.  It has support for SAS drives which can run at 15K.  They offer read/write speeds matching or beating that Intel SSD.

    300GB 15K SAS drives start at $350

250GB SSD drives start at $600+ for comparable performance.

However, SAS drives do not suffer from poor write performance like SSDs do.  Almost no SSD can write 100+ MB/s while those SAS drives can write 150 MB/s easy.

But your right about the noise, they can be loud.  But put that drive in a nice quiet case and you should be good to go.

That's correct, we used the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme heatsink for this system, and we used a Lian Li fan along with it, including all system fans.

We had to use the 1333Mhz Corsair RAM with this system. Anything higher than that would have caused instability, and would have forced us to downclock anyways.
