My First Custom Rig...Whatcha think? 2012/08/10 11:53:48 (permalink)

    Hello sisko,

Great, happy to hear you submitted an order with AVADirect!

At this point, I  think beast is an understatement. Just for the fact that you choose the 2700K processor, 16GB of RAM from Crucial, and an ATI Radeon HD 7770 graphics card you're going to be set for quite a while!

I could have guessed you were using the system for photography; most who do usually have large hard disks, such as that Seagate 2TB Barracuda you selected. I may have brought this up before, but any reason why you did not consider a solid state disk? If you're using the system for photography, a solid state disk will go a long way with everything moving along quickly, in terms of applying layers, filters, modifications, and various CPU/storage/GPU intensive tasks. The more you match the important components of a computer, the less bottleneck you experience...just food for thought. Otherwise, excellent job putting this custom desktop system together!
