Custom Gaming System - CoolerMaster HAF 932 / Core i7 965 / 3x GTX 280

Some customers have a vision into what the most beautiful should look like.  They select the options on our website and we start to build it.  We then realize just how awesome a computer some of these systems really are.  This system was chosen and configured by an actual customer and we are displaying it here for your viewing pleasure.

This was our first Core i7 system that we took an order for.  Joe and the customer spent many hours deciding upon which options to choose and the hard work paid off.  We have a beast of a system which could have been considered a supercomputer just 5 years ago.  With 8 total CPU cores and 3 GPU cores, is there any doubt that this system would reign supreme?

Currently the Core i7 combo and 3x GTX 280s in SLI is the most powerful gaming hardware setup.  However, there is a penalty for such performance.  Many of the X58 motherboards have an odd layout where the 3rd card actually blocks many of the headers such as USB, Firewire, and front audio I/O ports.  Due to this, this system was not able to use these ports.  However, with some ingenuity, we were able to get the USB controlled card reader working by routing the USB cord to the back of the motherboard.  Such is the price of choosing the newest and best technology.

We were able to achieve an OC of 3.86 GHz using a bCLK of 133 MHz and Core multiplier of 29x.  Just look at those performance numbers down below.  Amazing stuff.

Thank you very much. It's been a long path, thanks to UPS dropping my original system. I would highly advise anyone buying a new system to use the courier/palletized method. Thank you goes out to Joe, Matt, Misha, and anyone else I may be missing.

From the reviews I've read I'm not impressed with the Gigabyte Mobo. You got the what best PSU possible though lol, lucky bastard.

max out your overclock on those 280's!!! It's under warranty

    Scott,

Im a afraid I still do not have the performance numbers.  We usually run these numbers at the last second, so I should have them before the end of the day.  I cannot wait to see these numbers.  :)

    *** EDIT ***

    Updated!!!!!
