Beyond Specs: Adding Personality to Your Custom PC

One of the joys with owning your own custom desktop PC is that you have something that is personally yours and no one else’s. You decided what it’s for, what case you have, and what goes inside it; however, most places you buy from are somewhat limited on what you can purchase when configuring your custom PC based on who you are buying from. However, at AVADirect, we try to give every option available to our customers so they can have a truly custom PC. If you want a mini case, a tower PC, black, white, or even pink computer we have the options available, and that’s just scratching the surface of what we offer.

Looking the Part

The first thing people notice about a PC is the case: its size, material, shape, and color can be deciding factors for what our customers want. For example, our blissful series offers a number of popular cases in brighter, more playful colors such as pink and lavender. Some case models have alternate colors as well, but for the most part, the two primary options available are black and white. We know that this might not be enough for some people, so we’ve integrated custom prints into our process, along with out UV printing service, so customers can choose whatever they want printed on their PC’s, whether it is on the glass panel or the entire case.

Professional Personalization

Obviously, a computer is much more than just a case or what’s printed onto it; what really matters is the hardware inside. So where does personalization come in? The first option is that the types of cooling fans available for each case which do vary as each case offers different numbers of fans that can be installed (some up to even 20 fans) that help provide the best airflow for your system. There are dozens of different fans based on speed, size, blade type, and whether they have RGB or not, meaning there’s no shortage of options available.

However, fans are the only internal components that allow for customization options now; while certain parts are needed for a system to run, that doesn’t mean that more can be added. For instance, there are multiple storage device options that are available to most systems. Granted, some require enough SATA slots on the board to work, but if someone needs a lot of storage in order to hold copious amounts of data, HDDs would be the best route to go as they offer massive storage amounts over SSDs. While SSDs can have high storage amounts, the cost rises quickly with those.

Then, of course, there are add-on cards designed for specific tasks someone would like to do on a computer such as sound cards for high-quality audio recording, NIC cards for a more direct and faster internet connection, or additional USB slot cards which allow for multiple devices to be plugged into a single system at once. These options all depend on what you plan to use your system for, be it for gaming, work, or entertainment; there are plenty of options available.
