The combination of an I9-9900K and RTX 2080 Ti is arguably the best in modern custom gaming Pcs. It is the go-to option for 4K resolutions and ultra graphics settings. As if it wasn’t already an incredibly strong processor out of the box, the 9900K is unlocked for overclocking as well.
Tool and Toy
It doesn’t have to be all gaming with these two parts. They’re also appropriate for some content creation as a custom workstation PC. Photo editing, video editing, and light animation are all well within the capabilities of I9-9900k and RTX 2080 Ti. The versatility there is selling point to anyone who would need both a powerful tool and toy.
Where to save money
For someone looking to save a little bit of money, there is some room to play with things and achieve a similar result. For instance, both light content creation and 4K gaming are achievable with an RTX 2080. Frame rates may suffer some, and you may need to be running with slightly lower than ultra-graphics; however, it will absolutely get the job done – and well.
Additionally, the I9-9900K is a very strong processor. Most games are more taxing on the GPU, so downgrading to an I7-9700K is also an option. You’re still looking at top-tier gaming set ups with I7-9700K and RTX 2080 Ti. Content creation might not be as silky smooth, but the I7-9700K will still perform well at photo and video editing.
