There’s a fine line between a gaming system and a workstation. Many argue that it has everything to do with the aesthetics, while others claim it has everything to do with the hardware selected for the system. Personally, I feel it has everything to do with the end-user; gaming systems and workstation can really be used for either or, since they both require practically the same demand for performance. Workstations, however, require more specific hardware per the intended use. This configuration was purchased by a Sheriff’s office that will most likely be utilized for forensic data or any other analytics that would take the human mind years to decode or accomplish. For this, two 3.4Ghz processors, 96GB of RAM, 6Gb of VRAM, a 512GB 415/260 MB/s read and write, and 10TB will easily blast through years of dependency to get the job done efficiently. Dubbing this system a massive beast is purely an understatement at this point, and reviewing the specifications for this build are not for the weak-hearted. Seriously though, even those familiar with hardware to know what each component is, listed in the configuration, will begin to feel dizzy while scanning through the parts list; sick! Congratulations for both the individuals who are authorized to use this machine on a daily basis, and those involved in the build process of designing this configuration. Job very, very well done!
